A Typical Day at Lost Mountain Outfitters' hunting camp starts at 5:00AM with a full breakfast and fresh coffee. Breakfast includes: Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Biscuits and Gravy, and homemade jam or fried apples. After breakfast we leave for the hunt. After the mornings hunt we have lunch around noon, which is usually homemade deer chili and a variety of sandwiches.
Following some rest and relaxation at camp, we return to the field for the afternoon hunt which normally lasts until dark. Upon return to the camp, we have the grills and deep fryers fired up for a fantastic supper, which normally includes: deer, elk, antelope, and wild turkey. We like to stick with all wild game. Sides usually include deep fried potatoes, baked beans, and a variety of homemade desserts.
All that's left to do after supper is relaxing around the camp fire telling tall tales about the days hunt and enjoying some live Appalachian music.
